1. Faulty Life-style -:

When balance between calorie input and calorie output is disturbed.

Metabolism of food emanates energy. Part of this energy is being utilised by the cell to perform various activities.
The remaining energy should be burned solely by physical activity. 

2. Consequences of Disease Condition -:

Due to imbalance of hormone.
As in,
Hypothyroidism
Cushing's Syndrome
PCOD, etc

3. Familial Tendency -:

Obesity frequently runs in families
Obese parents frequently having obese children.

We all know the importance of eating healthy food  but it is equally important to eat food at right time.

Unwanted weight gain or Obesity depends on timing of our meal.
No matter how much healthy food you eat, if it's not on time, it's of no use.

So,
Always remember, 
Breakfast should be like king
Lunch should be like Ordinary Man, and,
Dinner should be like Pauper


Breakfast -:

Breakfast is the first meal of the day.
And,we all have a misconception that breakfast should be light.

What is breakfast ?
It means 'breaking' the 'fast'.

Can we skip breakfast ?
No, skipping breakfast may cause obesity.

Why ?
Due to fasting throughout the night, our body lacks glucose.
The breakdown of glucose leads to energy. Due to this energy, we get to work all day long.
Lack of glucose can cause fatigue and drowsy.
So, breakfast should be heavy.

You can eat whatever you want and eat as much as you want.

Ideal time to complete breakfast is within 9A.M

Since we remain active during the day and our activities are much more in morning, so, whatever we eat gets digested soon and as a result glucose converts itself into energy instead of fat.

Lunch -:

Always prefer light meal. Try to eat fruits, low calorie meal just to compensate the energy spent.

Dinner -:

Dinner should be lightest.

Food takes a lot of time to digest in the night, because of this, the system doesn't get time to rest resulting in acidity.

Secondly, the energy of this time is stored as fat causing obesity.
